Oh wow...


Sorry I've been so anti social lately! I ended up not having the funds for classes this summer after all, so I've been trying to take advantage of it.

First of all, I went to A-kon! It was my second convention ever and I decided to go with the Lee College Anime Club. I figured thinking that most of the members were friends it would be fun. Hahahaha...not really. I mean it was a lot of fun convention wise, but staying in the room with a whiny couple is NOT fun! The con was pretty large, and there were a lot of deviant artists there! I got to reunite with an artist that I met at Otakon, *fevereon! We had met each other on the plane and she talked to me the whole way about con stuff. XD She's super awesome! Oh, and I finally got to meet *Zombiesmile and `Endling as well. When I found out that I wasn't going to be able to visit them in February I was pretty sad, but I'm glad they were able to get a table at this con. Miki is so tiny! I wanted to put her in my pocket and dash! XDDDD She was so sweet! Shaun...well, Shaun was really busy! Haha! I really didn't get a chance to exchange too many words with him, he was up to his eyeballs in commissions. But anyways, there are two things that I learned about this con. One, bring a gas mask because con people are smelly, and two, get into better shape. Our hotel room was on the 30th floor and part of the con was on the 4th floor. The elevators were always full of people that I ended up walking 26 flights of stairs every time I wanted to go to my hotel room. It was exhausting, but it made me feel like a viking! Eaten MRE's and everything...seriously we had them! XD All in all it was pretty good, I wouldn't mind going back next year.

After con...I went to a few graduation parties. Then....I caught this really icky flu! XD So, as of right now my reign of fun has been put on hold. I've been in bed for a little over a week now and I seriously need to go to the doctor. So, I think I'll do that today. Haha!

I'm currently working on some pages, so hopefully I'll have them up soon! XD; It's taking so long I know!


SDL stands for Samurai Duelers League...
It is an OC(Original Character) tournament held by `RoninsUltramix that has an all around Feudal Japan theme to it. I think it's a great way to make friends and to just have some fun. If you have characters and are interesting in entering see Ronin's profile won't you?

The character I plan to enter is one that I made special for this tournament, as well as a comic idea. Awhile back I had had an idea of doing a fanmanga, but after participating in the chats I've decided to tweak my idea into a original story based around the tournament. It's called Himawari no Hime(Meaning 'Sunflower Princess' in Japanese). I'm really hoping to get started soon on the pages for the first chapter. I'm also currently working with another artist on the story, ~luckykoifish, who has also joined SDL as well. His character, Hummingbird, is the other main character in my story. Check out his gallery, its full of badassery.

Yea...I'm not going to Otakon this year. I really, really want to, but I have to put some money down on car repairs. That's life I'm afraid. XD Maybe next year. Sorry~
